The Viewsonic VA2246M is without a doubt one of my favorite personal monitors, and it really has everything and more to provide a super crystal clear 1080 high definition display. The thing that makes it even better is that fact that this monitor is priced under 100 bucks making it one of the cheapest options out there. For that money, you get the image quality described earlier, 22 inches, decent response time and a solid build quality that doesn't feel budget quality.

ViewSonic VA2246M Performance & Quality
As I mentioned in the introduction, the monitor really provides a great quality display but let me explain why that it can do that. The first important thing to mention is that 22-inch VA2246M monitor has a 5 millisecond response time which makes it perfect for a gamer who's display is changing at high speeds. With this gamer won't run into issues like ghosting or lag. Another technical aspect from the ViewSonic monitor that makes a difference is the excellent contrast ratio. It is 10,000,000;1 and this helps make sure that all your colors really shine through no matter how dark or bright your display may be. That combined with the excellent response rate really makes a difference for gamers.
ViewSonic VA2246M Design & Build
Sometimes with the cheaper budget monitors, the design can be the one factor that can really be the biggest letdown. This usually happens when costs need to be cut to ensure a low selling price. Luckily the ViewSonic features a beautiful gloss black coating that really gives it an elegant vibe. There are no issues with the neck and stand as well. Instead of feeling cheap and flimsy it actually feels strong and more than capable of supporting the weight of the monitor. There also inbuilt speakers and buttons that increase or decrease the volume but also note the sound quality is really terrible which is not surprising. Make sure to get a pair of speakers separately or use a good headset to ensure your audio playback matches the visual quality. Speaking buttons, you can also adjust the Image quality manually direct with your fingers which can be useful if you want to game at the different times of the day. If you are not too technically savvy then there also color presets to choose from, and auto adjust feature. The buttons don't stick out at all but instead blend in beautifully with the gloss black coating.
Conclusion
All in all this is a really solid monitor and definitely one of the best if you are on a budget. The most important feature on a monitor for any gamer would have to be the image quality in my opinion, and the Viewsonic passed proved that it does an excellent job there. The design is excellent as well and looks great. If I had to come up with a couple of issues, I would say that the inbuilt speakers suck and are kind of useless since it makes everything sound so bad. There is also no HDMI port on this monitor which was a big shock and disappointment for me, I am really not sure why they didn't include one.
