This VS228H comes from powerhouse brand Asus and caters to anyone looking for a high-quality budget monitor. Through my research, I have found that this monitor is also an excellent choice for gamers as well due to the specs and high-quality components used to build it. There are not a lot of things I don't like about this monitor, and the same seems to be true for the other reviews I've read out there. Asus VS228H-P Quality
The number 1 stand out feature on the Asus VS228H monitor has to be the screen brightness. I have never come across a monitor as bright as this one, and when you receive it and turn it on for the first time you may want to adjust brightness settings, but then again if you are looking for an extremely bright monitor on a budget, this should be one to consider seriously. The monitor isn't just a beacon of bright shining light, the colors really manage to stand out thanks to the amazing 50,000,000:1 contrast ratio, this really gives life to whatever you are looking at on the screen and also lets you watch it for hours without major stress on your eyes. These are some of the main reasons I think that this monitor provides quality high enough for gamers.
Thankfully this monitor has HDMI inputs along with VGA and DVI-D although you need to get the cable separately that isn't a problem as there very cheap and some monitors in the same price range don't even come with a HDMI connection never mind the cable. The screen boasts 1920x1080p full high definition and this combined with the other factors I mentioned in the previous element really all combine together to make an excellent video display.
Like the saying goes "It's on the inside that counts.." or something like that, the same can be said for monitors but it's still nice to look and touch the outside sometimes lol. The outside casing on the Asus monitor is in a gloss black and made out of a standard plastic material that feels high in quality, and the mount stand it sits on can rotate to give you the perfect viewing angle. Just like the other saying "the bigger, the better" the Asus makes sure to give you a good 21.5 inches which is really generous considering the low price tag.

Thankfully I didn't need to reach out to Asus support but I've heard from a friend that they really suck in that department and if you run into an issue and need some help then it looks like they won't be of much help. This is something I often see with these larger brands, and it's a real shame. It seems like they invest so much in growth that they forget that the growth isn't just numbers on a screen but real people who will at some point need help with their tech.

All in all, this monitor is a great bargain. Maybe one of the best in it's price category actually. I would recommend it to gamers and casual customers. If you run into any problems and have issues with the Asus support, then I would recommend trying post around on some forums for support, but there isn't a lot of reports of this monitor breaking down quickly after purchase so you should be good.
