ASTRO A10 Gaming Headset PS4 Review

Several weeks ago my gaming headset began to malfunction. Since I classify myself as an avid gamer, I knew I didn’t have much time to find a replacement. So, I started researching the available options and came across the ASTRO Gaming A10. I must admit that I had my reservations about the durability and sound quality. But, after an hour of use, I am sold hook, line and sinker. Below, you will discover my thoughts of the ASTRO Gaming A10 Gaming Headset.

Comfortable, Durable Headband

If you ask any avid gamer, they will immediately tell you that comfort is key to success in the gaming world. The ASTRO A10 has a pretty headband that is constructed out of anodised aluminium. This material is not only lightweight but also very durable. So, I believe that it will provide me with long service life.

To ensure immense comfort through long hours of playtime, ASTRO Gaming covered its anodised aluminium headband with a polycarbonate blend, which is comfortable and damage resistant. In addition to this feature, the ear cups are covered with memory foam. This material is designed to minimize pain in sensitive areas, such as the bony prominences of the ear. It also can contour to your ears, creating the perfect fit every time.

Superior Sound Quality

Gamers should expect nothing less from their headset, but superior sound quality. With this said, I am genuinely amazed that the ASTRO A10 can deliver such precise and accurate audio. Even when I am playing in a group of six, the ASTRO A10 never lets me down. The deliverance of precise, immerse audio means I never skip a beat. My team and competitors also appreciate the fact that I am able to communicate clearly through some of the toughest challenges.

Superior Compatibility

The ASTRO A10 supports a variety of gaming consoles, including the Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. It is also compatible with Mac, PC and mobile devices.

Designed For Convenience

To come out on top in a serious competition, everything required to compete in the game must be at your fingertips. With this said, the ASTRO A10 is designed with the avid gamer in mind. The in-line volume control and mute button are easily accessible, just a fingertip away.

Non-Adjustable Design

While the headset fits my head perfectly, it may not be suitable for everyone. I put the ASTRO A10 to the test when my friend who has a large head tried it on. It was a little tight I must admit, so I suggest giving it some thought, before purchasing if you have a huge head.

The headband is not adjustable so you cannot create a fit specifically for large or small heads. This is genuinely one con that cannot be ignored.

Needs More Padding

While the memory foam-designed ear cups are incredibly comfortable, the headband does not provide this same comfort level. I have noticed after about five hours of play, the top of my head begins to hurts. More padding would have been the solution, but unfortunately, this is not the case.
