1) You Can Communicate Way Better
One of the number 1 reasons I would recommend gamers buy a gaming headset is for the microphones that come with them. Instead of buying a separate microphone, you can buy a headset with an impressive built-in microphone. It will be plug and play, more cost-effective and take up less space on your gaming desk
Provided you get a headset with a high noise cancelling microphone your teammates are going to be able to hear you much more clearly and not any background noise which is super important. Depending on the game, this can also make you a better gamer and if you are hoping to go pro one day in CS:GO or another game then you shouldn’t even think twice about picking up a headset
2) You won't Disturb Other People
Using a gaming headset is going to create a much more private atmosphere that is going to do a couple of things. First of all, you can turn the volume up full blast in your headset, If you have neighbors and you do that with your speakers, then they are going to be super pissed. The same goes for other people in your household, most other people don’t want to hear the sound coming from your game especially if you like to game in the early hours of the morning.
Have you ever been in a game and started to hear your voice echoing from someone else speakers into their microphone? It’s super annoying, and it happens because they are not using a headset with a microphone. Trust me; you don’t want to be that guy. Just pick up a headset and save everyone else a headache.
3) Pro Gamers Use Them
Ever watched your favorite pro gamer play? There is a reason they don’t use headphones or speakers. They can hear footsteps and gunshots more clearly which can help them get that all critical kill. For me personally, my gaming in PubG improved after I bought my Hyper X gaming headset.
If you are struggling to decide on a headset to buy then looking at the best teams currently out there and figuring out what headset they use can be a good idea. Just be careful always to read reviews first before you purchase as it’s possible some gamers could have just been paid to wear the headset and not have considered quality. This should be more evident with lower ranked teams since a poor quality headset can make your gaming get worse, especially if it’s super uncomfortable.
4) You can Game For Longer In Comfort
Using headphones for gaming can be an uncomfortable experience, most of them are not built for people to wear for extended lengths of time. Pretty much all good gaming headsets though are built for gamers to wear for full days of gaming, and that's what set’s them apart in my opinion.
If you take the time to look around you can find gaming headsets that have beautifully soft ear cushions and adjustable headbands so you can get the best comfort possible. This is also another factor that will improve your gameplay if your ears hurt and you’ve got a headache then how good can your gaming be?
5) The Quality of Sound
This last one is debatable especially with audiophiles out there, but I did conduct some of my research and concluded that headsets provide better sound for gaming. They generally have a deeper bass than musical headphones, and this sounds great for FPS type games. It’s true that you could just EQ your headphones, but that is just a hassle for most people and an extra thing to learn when you could just be using the time to game instead.
The second amazing thing is that if you buy a gaming headset with surround sound, then you can play PubG for example and hear footsteps coming from the left, right and even behind you which can make you feel like you are inside the game.
It’s no surprise why pro gamers use headsets, and it’s great that it does have to be a luxury for just the Pros. If you’re a casual gamer, then you get pick up a great headset as well, and it won’t break the bank. If comfort, sound and privacy are important to you, then don’t waste another second thinking about getting your favorite headset.
